FAQ
Frequently Asked Questions
How many inspectors will be onsite at my inspection?
Two NRVIA inspectors will be present. RV Savvy is an inspection TEAM! Thorough inspections require someone operating components while another is observing (slides, roof vents, propane ignition on appliances, chassis lights, awnings, jacks, stabilizers, etc.)
Are your inspectors licensed and insured?
Yes. Both Norman and Lora graduated from the NRVTA National RV Training Academy from the RVTAA Registered Technician program and both are NRVIA Certified Inspectors. Both are fully insured and covered to work on private property as well as RV Dealerships.
How does the seller prepare for the inspection?
Full hook ups will allow the inspectors to test every component on the RV! Ideally the RV will be connected to the appropriate power source (30 or 50 amp), have water hook-up with food grade hose available, sewer dump available, fresh water tank will be 3/4 full, all other holding tanks will be clean and empty, refrigerators will be on for at least 12 hours, propane tanks will be at least 1/2 full, motor coaches will have at least 1/2 tank of fuel. We know that the ideal inspection site is not always available and we are happy to discuss work-arounds and adjust your inspection agreement accordingly.
Can I see a sample report or reference list?
Yes! We are happy to send sample reports and provide references that you may call and speak with about their past experience with RV Savvy.
When and how will I receive my report?
Your report will be available electronically through our website within 24 hours, and likely the same evening after your inspection is completed. We only book one client per day and will not rush your inspection to get to another appointment. We dedicate the appropriate amount of time for your inspection that you deserve!
